Lucid Dreaming

I actually had a lucid dream the other day.....I think.

Let me begin....

I dreamed I was in my bed, and I was trying to get up. I could not wake up. I remember hearing this squealing sound, like some kind of alarm. Suddenly, for some reason, I knew I was dreaming.

Now, I don't give myself "reality tests" or anything, so I wasn't sure how I knew. But I distinctly remember thinking...."Ya know, as long as I am asleep, might as well enjoy myself!"

So, I decided to fly. I flapped my arms, and flew...through the walls of my house (another sign I had to be dreaming!), overlooking my neighborhood, I even remember seeing a couple of birds.

I remember I was trying to get somewhere, in a hurry, but I wasn't sure where.

I landed. And (this is weird) I tried to fly again. This time, I was airborne for a couple of seconds, but then I landed again. After that, I woke up.

Guess I need a little more practice. :-)

Now, I am not a new-age-y type person. In fact, far from it. On the other hand, I do believe in the power of dreams. I believe that they can tell you things about yourself that you don't normally know.

I think I may start a dream blog.

Not a bad idea, huh??

Too Much Time on My Hands
(BTW....that's an old song by of my favorite classic rock groups. Cool song, too.)

My friend JR noted my free time on his blog. To tell you the truth, I would gladly sell some time for some money. I told him I would sell time for $7/hour.

Seriously, though. I am about bored into a gourd. I seriously get excited about eating a pint of Ben and Jerry's frozen yogurt. Today I went to the grocery store and bought some cookie dough and cinnamon rolls. (Maybe that's why I'm overweight...I eat for entertainment. Sigh).

I have tried to make a list of things to do for fun, and it pretty much comes down to this:
1 Eat
2. Sleep
3. Surf the Net
4. Watch TV

Fun life, eh?
If you have any suggestions for things to do, please let me know. I am open to suggestions.

Just thought I'd say that. :-)

(Yes, this is another patented Redgie b!tch post. Close your eyes.)

Today, I go in to get my work schedule. Well, turns out I was put in "fill-in" mode. Let me explain.

Summer is really slow in the restaurant business. My boss decided to cut back operating hours. That means, we're closed Monday, Tuesday and Sundays. Well, this means fewer hours for people to work.

This did not bother me. THIS is what bothers me:

When my mother's husband came home tonight, I told him about this. Here's how the convo went:

RG: I went to get my schedule today.
Him: And...?
RG: She said she would use me as a fill-in.
Him: You mean, she cut you. OK, you need to find a new job.
RG: She didn't cut me. She has me as a fill-in.
Him: Same thing, in my opinion. Right? (Thing I hate, # whatever: rhetorical questions.)
RG: Whatever.

So hopefully, she'll schedule me for some hours. Or else, I need to find a new job.
I'm open to suggestions.

Nothing to Write About

Amazingly enough, I have nothing to write about today. That's because my day consisted of:

1. sleeping
2. eating lunch (a Fajita wrapper....yum)
3. sleeping some more
4. going to the dollar store for some nail clippers
5. supper (small hamburger and fries at Sonic)
6. grocery shopping
7. playing with my pup

That's all that happened today.

I forgot to tell you that last Tuesday, three of my friends from school came to visit. We went to the mall and did a bit of shopping. I bought two awesome shirts. (THey were on sale....yay!) After that, we went to this new Mexican place to eat. I filled up on tortilla chips....sigh...bad habit of mine. When our food came, I was already full. I took my food home in a to-go box.

After that, we went to my house and talked for awhile. Nothing profound....just your general small talk. Ya know.

The last two weeks have been Big Weeks for me. Last week, I went shopping on Monday (plus the McVeigh execution), plus I had to work. Tuesday my friends came to visit. Wednesday I thought I had work, but I didn't. Thursday I really did have to work, with Bumface the Mean Cook. (I don't know if I told you about him. He's worthy of a different entry...for now, I'll just say that he's RUDE!) Friday, nothing much happened. Saturday, I worked again. Sunday, I had to work early afternoon, and I visited my grandparents. So it's good to have a non-Big Week once in awhile.

Now...about Bumface. This guy is HORRIBLE! 1. He treats me like crap. 2. If he messes up an order and you call him on it, he's hateful and starts cussing you out. 3. He gripes about having to DO HIS JOB! There are so many stories I can tell about him, but I don't want to waste space in my blogger doing so. Suffice it to say, this guy is a jerk.

Sigh. Enough ranting for now. I think I have gone everywhere in my blogger. Oh well.

Happy Father's Day!
This is to all the dads that are reading this. I hope you had a great day today. Without dads, none of us would be here. (It's the truth!)
Happy Father's Day. We love you.
OMG....I am having allergies from HELL tonite.

It's been a long day anyway. I had to work this a rib restaurant. On Father's Day. (Get the picture?) I did 3 tables of about 12 people each...sigh. At least I got a lot of money in tips!!

After that, I went to visit my grandparents. It was fun. We watched the end of the US Brooks and Gossin are tied. That means they have a play-off tomorrow. That will be interesting to watch. (Dang...I wanted Tiger to win, though! Oh, well.)

And right now, I am having an allergy attack. A BAD one. A reach-for-the-Sudafed one. Acck!
Well, I better go to bed.....g'night....
